Finally, A Crematory Design Applying All The Latest Combustion Technology

(NOT THE OLD RETORT DESIGN OF 1946 - As Used by Most Manufacturers)

The Crematory design is the latest "State Of The Art" construction using composite ceramic lining in the upper section of the unit for low heat transfer and storage, with rapid pre-heat and cool down. The composite ceramics were developed by N.A.S.A. for thermal protection on space vehicles. The floor and side walls (to 18" high) are constructed of heavy duty 3,000 degree°F refractory, monolithically cast for abrasion resistance during loading and clean out.

Therm-Tec Crematories are the only units utilizing a redundant afterburner system to assure "AIR QUALITY" discharge standards are met due to a possible secondary burner failure during a burn cycle. Dwell time in the secondary combustion chamber exceeds 1.5 seconds.

The Crematory construction is NOT the OLD STYLE "Retort" type Crematory that is often costly to repair (hearth replacements), but rather a much improved design which meets the performance and technology levels that are required by today's operators.

Features:

  • The floor of the Crematory is sloped to the back of the unit for liquid control and features sacrificial replaceable hearth tiles.
  • Loading height is 20" and is compatible with a "Church Truck". No additional elevating (loading) equipment is required.
  • Remains are removed from the front of the main chamber into a stainless steel receptor.
  • For heat protection the Crematory has a 5" air cooled facade surrounding the unit. Rear panels are insulated for almost silent operation.
  • The burner in the main chamber is positioned for direct flame contact with the body and assures complete combustion.
  • The crematory is furnished with three 6 foot refractory lined stack sections as standard on all models.
  • Controls: The control system is PLC based.  Temperature sensors provide feedback to the PLC as to the operational condition of the process.  The combustion process is controlled using variable speed drives on the combustion air, and the modulation of the fuel supply to the burners.  The control system is accessed by the operator through an HMI touchscreen, and is remote access capable.  The operator can view process temperatures,  set points, operational conditions, and alarms.
